Chris vs. Dino: The Deuce—The Viaduct

Viaduct.jpgThere are 14 weeks until Election Day, which is great because there are only 14 issues in our state's gubernatorial race (15 if you count Eastern Washington's concerns).

Each week we'll be taking an in-depth, and we predict award-winning, look at where Governor Christine Gregoire and Just Dino Rossi stand.

This Week: The Alaskan Way Viaduct.

Rossi—That waterfront tunnel no one liked.

Gregoire—She will decide by December 2006, the voters will decide, an elevated replacement, it’s coming down by 2012, she will decide by December 2008.

Next Week: Iran.

Ah, the "Seattle Process" - a governing style that seeks concensus, avoids hurt feelings, and results in policies as clear and as strong as mush.

Yes, emal78, consider that link intentional---that's what will happen to the Viaduct if we continue to talk about doing something instead of just doing something.

  • What Iran have to do with our gubernatorial race? And what's Eastern Washington's 15th issue? For that matter, what are our State's issues?

    I don't like waiting.

I think your link for the "Alaska Way Viaduct" issue is wrong. It is linking to the Minnesota DOT page about the 35W Bridge Collapse. Was that intended?
