Benefit for Seattle Youth Garden Works

You can see the chicken coop from the tables at The Corson Buildling, a reclaimed landmark under the freeway ramp in Georgetown. Chef is Matt Dillon, with co-owner Wylie Bush and sommelier Marc Papineau handling front-of-house. Crystal and fine china inside, pea-patch and poultry outside. Most nights, it's $85 prix-fixe, wines extra, but this coming Thursday evening it's just $30 for a summer barbecue (wine included!) to raise money from Seattle Youth Garden Works. SYGW serves homeless city kids by putting them to work in gardens, similar to Fare Start's training in kitchens. We're not talking about mowing rich people's lawns so much as learning to grow vegetables for Farmers Markets. Reserve by sending an email to Keri Kellerman, or call 206-632-0352, ext. 14. Pay at the door or by credit card when you reserve by phone. RSVP by Monday, July 28th.
