<description>&lt;p&gt;the latest theory is that they are the spikes that were holding down the milfoil (kee hee, &quot;milf oil&quot;...tee hee) net that was installed quite some time ago (early 80&apos;s, i think they said?).  i forget what other theory they said on the 12 o&apos;clock news today, but they are certainly leaning more towards it being something that workers did back in the day and not some asshole trying to impale people.  they look like 3&apos; long tent-spikes.  &lt;/p&gt;</description>
