What's Cookin': An "Incredelicious" Meal For a Cause

Perhaps you bit on the Bite or uncorked at Uncorked last weekend, but this coming weekend brings a cooking contest for amateur chefs—and your chance to sample the food for a good cause.
INCREDELICIOUS 2008 is a fundraiser for EKAL Seattle, which works to improve literacy and to educate tribal children in India. The cooking part of the competition is already sold out, but the sampling part is open; expect about 60 dishes—appetizers and desserts—available for tasting, along with additional food catered by Spice Route. A panel of judges will be choosing best dishes, but all participants can vote for the "popular choice" award. Recipes will be compiled for a cookbook, and the fun evening will also feature an auction and lots of raffle prizes.
Saturday, 5-7 p.m. // Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center // $5 (10 and under: free)
