Outdoor and More Plays

SeattleOutdoorTheatre.jpg
The Seattle Outdoor Theatre Festival is over, but that just means that more plays are coming to a park near you, instead of congregating all up in the Volunteer Park area--except for two kid-friendly productions, that is: Theater Schmeater's Wind in the Willows (Bravo, Mr. Toad!) and Open Circle Theatre's Alice in Wonderland, both of which play at Volunteer Park Saturdays and Sundays through August 10.

We saw Wooden O's very likable, well cast A Midsummer Night's Dream on Saturday (traveling to Lynnwood's Lynndale Park next weekend); they're the high-production-value team, with actual mics and speakers and something very like a set. Here's their summer schedule; they're also doing Romeo & Juliet (at Mercer Island's Luther Burbank Park next weekend).

Next weekend, the Eclectic Theatre Company brings As You Like It to Kirkland's McAuliffe Park, and Monroe's Last Leaf may be doing All's Well That Ends Well somewhere, but their schedule page is down at the moment. Also, Greenstage takes their Twelfth Night and Hamlet to Lower Woodland Park.
