And what-da-ya-know, traffic on I-90 West is fubarred right now. WSDOT travel times page says it's 37 minutes Bellevue->Seattle when it's normally 12 minutes at this time.

"State Route 520/The Evergreen Point Floating Bridge will be closed for the entirety of the weekend--from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday--for its annual inspection" what part of that doesn't tell you why 520 is closed?

I've seen so much snarkiness as of late, I'm going to throw my hat into the ring: the long drive north around the lake Can't we drive around the south end? I really only mention because you bring up technical other methods immediately afterwards. 8)
