Yeah, let's see the arts stand up on its own without public funding of venues, hello Seattle Center. And now there will be less money for everything that was paid for with the taxes generated from the team. And my son is very sad that he won't be able to go to games with Dad anymore. One more reason to leave this corporate town, chalk one up for the billionaires as the working man loses one more cherished cultural link to the real Seattle..... it is over, the Californiacation of Seattle is complete.

And so long to the bustling night life in lower Queen Anne. Wouldn't it be nice if some of the money paid to the city went to help local business owners who don't have the privelidge of breaking their leases despite the fact that there will now be about 100 fewer games at the Key a year (Sonics and Thunderbirds)? You may dislike the idea of public funding for a privately owned sports team, but to think that the only people hurting here are Sonics fans is naive.
