We're Tying Records, People!

After what seemed to be the longest winter in Washington history, a weekend full of warm sunshine was just what Seattle needed. Thankfully, this weekend finally delivered--and then some! With tempratures topping the 90's both Saturday and Sunday, Seattle tied high temperature records for those days. What did you do to enjoy the sunshine--was it too hot or just right for pride? Did any of the local drag queens' makeup run? If it was a wee bit too warm for you, as it was for this (still) sweating Seattlest, we want to know what you did to stay cool.

you know, i saw one of the sisters yesterday in the parade with FLAWLESS makeup, lots of it. i was sitting at the end of the parade route and, aside from remarking on how incredible she looked, the first thing i thought was how amazing it was that she made it all the way through without a single drip. now that is a queen.

Indeed!

I on the other hand put on only eyeliner to go to an outdoor wedding and I managed to have sweat that off--on my eye-lids--before even arriving. Sadly, I am no Queen.

I am, however, a true Seattleite. Anything over 85 degrees and I am profoundly uncomfortable in my clamy pale skin.

i was at Dope Emporium at Artopia all day on the blacktop...super duper hot.

but i survived by drinking lots of water, walking fast from tent to tent and eating Spoon's ice cream! yay!

I was at Dope Emporium too, and it WAS hot, but I kept cool in the beer garden. ;) Note to self: ask Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence for makeup tips
