Great food, excellent beer and wine pours, delicious jazz, music, games, and sunset at Pier 66. What more would you want for a summer night?

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, July 9 for some post-Independence Day fireworks of the culinary kind, as it’s once again time for Guest Chef on the Waterfront. But don’t let the singular "chef" fool you; there will be a slew of Seattle’s finest on hand preparing samples of their food. And lest you think they’ll be just going through the motions, note that this event is a contest; a panel of judges will be choose the best appetizer, best entrée, best dessert, and best overall dishes of the night. We’re salivating at the thought of the likes of Canlis’ Aaron Wright in competition with Skillet’s Josh Henderson and Danny Sizemore.

And it’s all for a good cause. "This event is a way to celebrate and thank our region’s amazing chefs who regularly donate their time and expertise to support FareStart’s culinary job training and placement program," explained Karla Smith-Jones, Farestart’s Marketing Communications Manager.

If you’d like to join in the celebration, act fast. At this point, about 75% of the night’s tickets are already sold.

Wednesday, 7/9, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. // Bell Harbor's Elliott Hall at Pier 66 // $70 (no "day-of" tickets to be sold)
