GET A HAIRCUT, GET A REAL JOB: If you're among the throngs getting laid off thanks to this booming economy we're having, try skipping the liquid breakfast today. The Northwest Career Fair kicks off this morning at 11 and, with any luck, there should be at least something for which you're qualified. They're hiring for just about everything—from deli clerks to tech editors, forklift operators, bankers, PR people, line cooks...the list goes on.

SILENT MOVIES: Third in the Douglas Fairbanks fest at the Paramount's Silent Movie Mondays this June is The Gaucho! It would be stretch to call the Gaucho the Subcomandante Marcos of his day, but we're kinda bendy like that so we will. We also love this description from IMDB so much, we're practically a bigamist: "He is feared by men and adored by women—but only one woman will tame him. He acknowledges no creed, but only One Faith will claim him. No jail shall hold him or treasure elude him. He is South America's greatest bandit and soon the fate of the Andes' most venerated shrine will be in his hands. He is The Gaucho."
