Troy, I've heard the same rumor. The one I have heard is that he has let his local friends here in town know that he is retiring after this season.

I guess his performance is getting to him, as well as being made the public scapegoat for the M's struggles this year.

He did what the M's paid him to do the first 2 years of his deal, but there is the real possibility that the wheels have come off and he has just lost his mojo.

400 career homers is nothing to apologize for. The M's just happened to have "bought in at the top", as it were, and we got to see the crashing end to a career that most guys would have given their big toe for.

I heard a rumor Sexon was leaving.

I know McLaren is a moron for keeping Putz on the mound in spite of his lost velocity or whatever but if you look at the virtually gutless hitting thise team exhibits day in and day out its hard to fault the Manager.

Fricking Sexson and Vidro and sloppy defense. Almost every aspect of this team sucks with the exception of Morrow, Felix and Lopez' bat.
