HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NOW DRINK!: In this time of uncertainty, when every building and its mother is getting knocked down to make way for the ensuing tempest of condo-livers, it's kind of remarkable that the little bar behind Neumos is turning one. Get on down to Moe Bar for happy hour specials all night long ($2 beers and wells), and music by folks like Ari Spool, Pretty Titty, DJ Chrispo, and others.
8 p.m.-2 a.m. // Moe Bar // Free
ROCK THE EFF OUT: This Seattlest is on vacation in Florida (nanny boo-boo!) and we understand the rain has returned back home in Seattle. So, while we're out sunbathing, maybe you can do us a favor and get your groove on at Neumo's tonight. It's the perfect hipster first date: just hit up the Moe Bar's birthday party (see above), then stumble next door and rock the eff out to Detroit Cobras.
10 p.m. // Neumos // $12 adv
FOR SCI-FI GEEKS: The EMP/Sci-Fi Museum is presenting a new film series called Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM. Tonight's film is Terra (starring Luke Wilson, Dennis Quaid, Danny Glover, and others)—an animated film about what happens when human warriors invade a peaceful world. It will be followed by a discussion with the films director/animator.
7 p.m. // JBL Theater at the Sci-Fi Museum // Free for members of EMP/SFM and the Warren Report, $5 for general public
WE LOVE ELLEN PAGE: We suspect we're not alone on that one, either. If you're also a member of the We Love Ellen Page Cult, join others like you at the NW Film Forum tonight for a screening of her latest film, The Tracy Fragments. It looks odd and good, and all those other things you'd expect from Page.
7:15 p.m., 9:15 p.m. // NW Film Forum // $5 members, $6 children and seniors, $8.50 general
Thanks to Seattlest Flickr user Just Mel in Seattle for that fine shot of the Sci-Fi Museum
