If you are as intrigued by the mystery of D.B. Cooper as Seattlest is, but have more expendable cash than we do, we have just the auction for you!
Today and tomorrow only, you can bid on 15 of the bills discovered by eight-year-old Brian Ingram on the banks of the Columbia 28 years ago. The bills have been confirmed to have been ransom money given to Cooper in hopes of peacefully ending his hijacking.
The auction is being held online and at an auction house based in Dallas. So far, the highest bid for one of the remnants of Cooper's ransom money is over $4,000. While spending a few thousands dollars for the remnants of a $20 bill seems strange, it is a part of local history and the continuing D.B. Cooper case is the greatest mystery to ever occur in the PNW, save The Goonies.

this is hard for me to comprehend. i think the story is fascinating, but even if i had a bazillion dollars i wouldn't buy DB Cooper money.
my brain does not understand.
