Tonight, if you're not already at a SIFF film or checking out "Awesome" with side projects Jose Bold and the Half Brothers at the Sunset, head to the Comet to see local Mazzy Star-on-psychedelics Half Light. They're touring off their new album Sleep More, Take More Drugs, Do Whatever We Want.
Tomorrow, the Honda Civic Tour brings Panic at the Disco, Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound, Phantom Planet, and a couple thousand emo kids to the Paramount. A certainly less Hot Topic option is Crystal Castles at Nectar. Here's the Toronto multi-instrumentalist duo covering The Little Ones' "Lovers Who Uncover":
Sunday brings the reunited 70s fusion supergroup Return to Forever (keyboardist Chick Corea, bassist Stanley Clarke, guitarist Al Di Meola, and drummer Lenny White) to the Paramount. Another good option is Spokane singer-songwriter Kaylee Cole at the Cha Cha. Sounding like Fiona Apple one minute and Regina Spektor the next, girlfriend's got talent to spare.
