Can't Miss It: Weekend Edition, June 6-8
STEP UP YOUR BRUNCH GAME: Brunch for Seattlest usually means stumbling to the closest eggs-and-bacon joint, slamming some coffee, and thanking God we didn't have to put on real clothes for the occasion. But we will make an exception and actually dress up (ish) for a fancy weekend brunch, now offered at the Saint, if only for the opportunity to taste Tecate-marinated Carne con Huevos (yum) and sip on a house mimosa. The Saint's from the classy people at Havana, so we're sure brunch here will wake you up and calm you down in style.
10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, Sunday // The Saint, 1416 E. Olive Way // Menu prices vary
PRO-ROCK DEMS: Governor Gregoire (!?!) presents the Cave Singers tonight at Neumos. Way to rep the local music scene, Gregoire! Her presence makes the $15 price tag on a show ticket more worth it for a band we've seen plenty of times, though of course the Cave Singers consistently perform quality sets and we were kind of thinking of seeing them anyway. On the Neumos calendar, this is billed as "Cave Singers serenade Gov. Gregoire." Cute.
8 p.m., Friday // Neumos, 925 E. Pike St. // $15 adv.
WHAT IS: AFTERNOON DELIGHT?: Details-oriented fans of the family Bluth will appreciate Neptune Coffee's Arrested Development trivia night, happening on Saturday evening. This place does trivia every Friday at 8 p.m., but this weekend they're going the extra mile. Prizes include drink cards, beer, and "possibly a betamax copy of Tony Hale singing 'Eye of the Tiger,'" according to their calendar. Yes, they serve beer and wine along with the nectar of the gods (coffee).
8 p.m., Saturday // Neptune Coffee, 85th and Greenwood Ave. N // free? Bring $5 just in case
RETRO-DORK ALERT: Since it doesn't look like the rain's letting up any time soon, you have fewer reasons not to indulge your inner pinball fanatic at the NW Pinball and Gameroom Show at Seattle Center for at least one afternoon this weekend. Play the dozens of pinball machines, hear Steve Wiebe and Steve Richie speak at a seminar, and enjoy the meditative Zone induced by hours of playing pinball.
10 a.m. - 12 a.m., Friday - Sunday // Lopez Room at the Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St. // $25 weekend pass, or $15 daily
