How'd You Do at Seattlest Trivia?
First things first: Much to our own surprise, the [edit: second] most populous city in Eastern Washington (which is everything east of the Cascades, people; it's in Wikipedia, so it must be true) is Spokane Valley.
We know. We thought it was Yakima, too. Turns out that when we triple-checked it, all the sources we had cited the 2000 census—but Spokane Valley incorporated in 2003, after the census. We stumbled into a trick question, but several people got it right anyway and the Audacity of Annyong enjoyed the free beer.
They didn't manage to win the evening, however. In the end it was a tight battle between returning champs the Chester A. Arthur All-Stars and the Unitards, with the Unitards taking the night 61 points to 60.
Speaking of Annyong, they created a Facebook group devoted to the Old Pequliar's Tuesday quiz. If you're in the Seattle network, just look for the Tuesday Trivia at the Old Pequliar group. The other new online doohickey: A Google calendar telling you who's hosting when. Bookmark it and learn exactly when to avoid us.
As for the quiz itself? It went fine after a way too difficult opening Geography round. People accuse us of enjoying players' misery, but frankly, we've been on the receiving end, we know it's not fun, and we're not really happy to see a bunch of people turn in really low scores. Happily, things picked up after that.
Want to tease your own brain? Most of the quiz, with questions and answers, is after the jump. (We left out the audio "identify the radio show" round, and the two picture rounds—identify the documentary from the poster, and the magazine from the piece of its cover.)

Did you mean second-most populous city in Eastern Washington? Because Spokane, not Spokane Valley, is the most populous city in Eastern Washington. By a lot. Spokane has a larger population than Tacoma.

Oops. Yup, that's a callback to the pre-quiz question from Tuesday.
Spokane still gets second-largest in the state honors.
