Stairwell Sisters have joined the slowly growing community of all-girl old-timey bands, and recently released their third album, Get Off Your Money. They do much better when they tackle the traditional fiddle tunes, but their originals do the genre plenty of justice. They’ll be joined at the Tractor tonight by local old-timey heroes the Tallboys.

The Seattle branch of the famed Paul Green School of Rock opened in January. Now, the inaugural class of talented kids are playing their first public ever (at the Vera Project), and it's a doozy: Pink Floyd's The Wall. From their friends and family show earlier this month:

Or head to Neumo's for twitchy English Sup Pop up-and-comers Foals.

The Wilders roll into the Tractor on Saturday with their barn-burning lightning-fast bluegrass stylings. It’ll be interesting to see what they deliver in their live show this time around, considering the recent release of their theme album Someone’s Got to Pay (about being on the jury for a murder trial). Will they play the whole album rock bluegrass opera-style? Or will they regale us with selections from other discs, as well? Only one way to find out. They’ll be joined by Bellingham Vaudeville duo the Gallus Brothers.

Or check out delicate Danish singer-songwriter Teitur at El Corazon.

For something a little more upbeat, all the kids will be seeing glockenspiel-lovin' indie-pop buzz band Los Campesinos! at Neumo's.

And there's the CD release party for electro-acoustic experimental jazz trio Goat at the Lo-Fi.

On Sunday, head to Chop Suey for the bluesy-rock one-two punch of Neva Dinova and Ladyhawk.

Or stop by Le Pichet at 2pm for French food, wine, and Ali Marcus playing a free show.
