Death Cab for Cutie on Sound Opinions

deathcabfc.JPGIf you haven't listened to Chicago Public Radio's Sound Opinions before, it's a show hosted by two well-respected music critics/dorks (Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot). Each week they have intelligent, candid discussions on popular music. Often, they have guests and these guests perform songs and get chatty with Jim and Greg.

This week's guests on Sound Opinions are none other than our local heroes, Death Cab for Cutie.

We listened and we loved it. It's insightful with its back and forth discussion about the band--where they are and where they've been--and it's really funny at times too (including a nice rip on that horrible, horrible band Nickelback).

The show will air this Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. on KUOW, but if you don't want to wait (who does?), you can stream or download the whole thing here. Also available via that link are more links to Flickr photos of the band's performance, footnotes of the show, and individual live tracks.

Sound Opinions is produced by Chicago Public Radio and is distributed by American Public Media. It airs on KUOW Sundays at 10:00 p.m.
