Can't Miss It: Wednesday

REALLY GOOD DOCUMENTARY: Here's yet another reason that SIFF has won the loyalty of Seattle's filmgoers, They Killed Sister Dorothy, a terse, refreshingly un-preachy documentary that attempts to unravel the mystery behind the murder of an American nun in the Brazilian rainforest.

SUPPORTING LOCAL GROWERS: Sometimes you want fresh basil in the middle of the week. Unlike most of the farmers markets in Seattle, the Colombia City farmers market is open on a weekday afternoon so you can stop by after work, pick up the things you forgot on Saturday, and still support local.

INTELLECTUAL R&B: Nectar has exploded onto the music scene with some of the most exciting acts in Seattle. Tonight they've booked Chin Chin, Eldridge Gravy & The Court Supreme, and DJ Leopold Bloom. Mixing jazz, funk, and soul Chin Chin lays tight horn sections on top of funky bass lines which equals a hotty-hott dance groove. DJ Leopold Bloom won our hearts by listing influences as "poor dogsbody, Proteus, Molly and nutty gizzards." It reminds us of getting crazy in the James Joyce Senior Seminar.
