That was our other plan bigtimetopbanana! Unfortunately, my weekend at the Gorge made me seriously wonder if I am allergic to sunshine. Each day ended with a horrible headache, though I didn't drink a drop of alcohol at the festival (cannot afford 11 dollar PBR Tall Boys) and stayed more hydrated than I do at home.

I am glad that you got to enjoy the insanity that was Wayne and the rest of the flaming lips, seeing everyone else's photos is making me regret my decision even more than the traffic jam did.

To miss the Sasquatch traffic back to Seattle we stayed to the end, cheered on Wayne and his interstellar craziness and then caught an couple of hours of shut-eye before heading home.

We had an empty road over the pass at 3am. And we were not bleary-eyed and worried about being breathalysed on the way. Made it in 3 hours.

Sweet.

Work today though..... sucked.

Indeed, SillySooly.
I've always managed to miss the Memorial Day slog after Sasquatch, but no such luck this year.

The funny thing about trying to miss the 'concert' traffic on Memorial Day weekend is that you, everyone at the Sasquatch Fest, and every single person who decided to go camping somewhere sunny are all on their way home, headed in the same direction, at the same time as you.

The traffic sludge over the pass is as much a tradition as beer on Memorial Day. :)
