Not only does Detroit's last place baseball team sweep other last place teams (ours), they also have teams that make the postseason.
On Saturday night the Motor City will host two playoffs games. The Red Wings will play the Penguins at 7pm in the Stanley Cup, and the Pistons will play the Celtics in the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals half an hour later
The city of Seattle has been home to two playoff games in the past two years, and we are not counting the Huskies CBI apparence.
On the bright side, with all the time off he's getting J.J. Putz wil have more time to follow his home town teams.

This is what happens when you have owners who aren't either trying to screw over a town (Sonics) or milking the cash cow (Mariners).
As my dad always says.. "Detroit is a great place to be FROM." Not the best place to live, but it's fun rooting for the teams.
How about Boston, who the Mariners are playing next week? In the past 12 months, Beantown teams have been in the playoffs for MLB, NFL, NHL, MLS and NBA (and they don't have to rely on having two teams in every sport...I'm looking at you, New York).
