FIRST PERSON ACCOUNT: Letters to Sala: A Young Woman's Life in Nazi Labor Camps is a collection of rare Holocaust-era letters and photographs on loan from the New York Public Library. These items were saved by Holocaust survivor Sala Garncarz from the time she entered a Nazi labor camp in 1940 to the war’s end in 1945. This amazing exhibition of letters, postcards, and photographs documents the Nazi labor-camp system firsthand. More than 300 pieces of correspondence were smuggled in and out of the camps over her five years there.

ELVIS IMPERSONATOR: Elvis is IN the building! Elvis impersonator Scott Norton is coming out to do a FREE one-hour show at Purr tonight. He’s the jumpsuit-wearing kind of Elvis impersonator who has made his reputation as "the best" by incorporating lots of audience interaction and passing out teddy bears. Oh Elvis, love me tender.
