What’s Cookin': Music, Massage, and Meditation at Theo

theo-storefront%20smallest.jpg

As if chocolate alone isn’t enough, tonight Theo Chocolate adds music, massage, and meditation to the menu. Can you believe it? Head over to Theo’s fun shop in Fremont to sample some chocolates and sip some Choice organic tea. They’ll have a string quartet playing, and if you’d like even more relaxation, you can enjoy a complementary Ayurvedic mini hand massage with Sweet Beauty chocolate lotion. Or ante up and purchase a two-person Ayurvedic warm oil massage or chocolate body scrub treatment. (Will they accept chocolate coins as payment?)

Something they’re calling a chocolate meditation begins at 7 p.m. And to think: in Aztec times, women couldn’t consume chocolate because of its power as an aphrodisiac!

The Theo event was a delicious evening. It was tasty and educational...a way to learn about the healing properties of dark chocolate, try out their exotic flavors, and to see how the palate reacts to pairings with teas, wine or beers.

And, hey, Jay -- "Something they’re calling a chocolate meditation"....I was the leader of that part of the event. It was 10 minutes that the visitors could take out of their day to not only deepen their appreciation for chocolate, but also for themselves. "The Chocolate Meditation" is a specific guided meditation experience I created that takes the listener into a deeply relaxed place of peace and bliss...a delightful rest from the sometimes frenetic pace of day-to-day life.

Sometimes, a mini-luxurious spa experience for yourself can be just that simple. Sign me up for some more of that "fig & fennel" chocolate for sure!

Thanks for letting us know all the great Seattle happenings!
