Seattlest Trivia Tonight at the Old Pequliar

Science on Tap It's the first Tuesday of the month, which means it's time to slip your brain into first gear and head to the Old Pequliar for Seattlest Trivia. You'll win cash if your team takes first, second, or third place, or you'll get swag if you win the battle for the bottom.

You know what else? You can win a free pitcher of beer plus a copy of local trivia king L.M. Boyd's Boyd's Curiosity Shop if you successfully answer this trivia question:

The lead singer of classic '80s band The Motels has an album available for purchase exclusively (supposedly) through a local institution. What's the CD title, and where can you buy it?

If you know, email james at seattlest dot com. If more than one person submits the correct answer, I'll pick the winner at random. You have to show up at the OP tonight to claim your prize.

Of course, you can have a rollicking good time at the pub tonight even if you don't feel like Googling the answer for that question. Show up with up to four of your friends, answer a few (well, 80) questions, drink some beer or cider, eat some pub grub (we recommend the burger or the fish & chips), and find out you knew more than you thought you did.

It's just $5 per team to play. The Old Pequliar doubles the pot. The quiz starts at 8, signup starts at 7:45, tables get scarce by 7, and regardless you can be out of there by 10:10.

Seattlest James hosts. See you there.
