See New Faces This Saturday
Port Townsend pop/rock trio New Faces have had a pretty damn good year, and with an upcoming West Coast tour and release of their debut full-length album, it's only going to get better.
Here are a few reasons why you should squeeze into the Comet this Saturday night to check them out:
1. They won this year's EMP Sound Off! competition.
2. Sounds like a young Paul Banks fronting a band with a more lively pulse.
3. When they opened for The Shackeltons, April 10 at Neumos, Abbey (of Seattlest and Sound on the Sound) said of them, "Holy F, these kids were good!"
4. Because we met Kyle's (the bass player) mom back in March, at the Born Ruffians show at the High Dive. She and her man sat across from us and we all hit it off instantly. She was sweet, down to earth, and by the end of the night made us promise to visit their home next time we're in Port Townsend.
