This photograph looks like it could have been taken decades ago except for the contemporary boat on the right side of the frame. It reminds of us of the old photos we worked with at the archives. The blacks are so dark and the greys are so rich... it's so still and melancholy. The combination of the sky and bridge's structure seems quintessentially Washingtonian; it takes us to Aberdeen or any other formerly bustling mill town or quiet port town.
