Law & Order: Seattlest Unit
Obviously, Sione Lui does not watch as much Law & Order, CSI, or Cold Case as Seattlest does. The 38-year-old was convicted today of the 2001 murder of his fiance Elaine Boussiacos. The evidence that broke this cold case wide open? Detectives noticed that Lui had given his current wife the "missing" engagement ring he'd bought for his deceased fiance. Since TV does not lie, we believe this is how it all went down:
The Scene: A dark Arlington, Wash., kitchen—preferably with a flickering fluorescent light fixture. It is raining outside. The Characters: A tough-talking male and female detective team, with obvious sexual chemistry that has not been addressed. The suspect and his nervous new wife, who is offering the detectives coffee.
Nervous New Wife: Do you take milk with your coffee, detectives?
Female Detective: Black, thanks.
Male Detective: Yes.
While nervous new wife pours some milk into the detective's coffee, he notices a familiar looking ring on her finger.
Male Detective: That is a LOVELY engagement ring, Mrs. Lui.
Male and female detective share knowing glances.
Female Detective: Mr. Lui, you're under arrest for the murder of ....
Scene.
