Welcome, Beveridge Place Pub "North"!

After an unexpected but brief delay, the new BPP—one door down from its previous location—was open for business Thursday night. And Georgetown Brewing was in the house, along with a cask of Chopper's Red.

We were pleased to see that, though the place is now spiffier, it didn't lose its warm charm in the transition. And that beautiful, long bar remains intact, now along the back wall.
What's new? Inside, a few flat-screen TVs, a couple of table games, more wood—floors, ceiling, arches—and windows. Outside, a small but nifty patio area on the north side.
What's gone? Those narrow, cracker-box bathrooms. Now there's actually room for two in the privies—heck, five. And, at least on its first night of business, the beer-phernalia plastered on the walls.

Yes, things are again right with the world.
