Weekend Music

Tonight, the dynamic duo of Blitzen Trapper and Fleet Foxes is sold out, so you've got a few completely different options: at El Corazon, Apocalyptica, a Finnish cello quartet who love Metallica

or the Fool's Gold label showcase at the War Room, featuring label founder/turntablist extraordinaire A-Trak. Here he is in 1997, when he was just a scrawny badass fifteen-year-old world championship wunderkind:

Tomorrow night, head to El Corazon for Hillstomp, who are perfectly matched with opener "hell-raising one-man band" Scott H. Biram.

Or venture to King Cobra for Seattle Semi-Pro wrestling and the punk assault of Black Eyes and Neckties.

Meanwhile, across the street at Neumo's, there's the dirty-catchy electro-pop rock of Parisian/Londoner trio The Teenagers.

Sunday night, there's dear sweet precious darlings Rilo Kiley, playing an all-ages show at the Showbox SoDo.

Or the electro combo of Caribou (formerly known as Manitoba) and Fuck Buttons at Chop Suey. And you know you can't go wrong with two guys who go by "Fuck Buttons."
