But We Were Going to Propose to Kristy Lee!

Our TiVo cut off immediately after Kristy Lee Cook rocked her swan song on Idol Wednesday, so we missed the part where her boyfriend Andy stormed the stage, got down on one knee, and proposed. There go our chances (not that she'd ever "play for our team" anyway).

According to E! Online, Mr. Kristy Lee originally proposed to her after her first foray into the bottom three. How romantic. The fella really knows how to charm, apparently. Or at least he really knows how to cheer up his girl.

Our pals at the News Tribune TV blog got on the conference call and posted the full story:

On the media conference call today, Kristy Lee admitted she and Andy actually became engaged on March 15 in a sauna. She and her betrothed were having a hard time finding a place to talk alone without others around, so they sneaked into a spa (it was turned off, lights were turned on) and that's where he originally proposed. She said she was not expecting his second, more public proposal last night but was glad he knelt since he didn't do it the first time. They have not yet set a date for the wedding, but they're considering next June.
