Further Proof There's a World Record for Everything

Andrew Dahl, a 13 year-old from Blaine, Wash., is claiming he has set the world record for blowing up balloons with his nose. No, that is not a made up world record category; those Guinness Book folks have thought of everything. Dahl blew up 213 balloons in one hour, all with his nose, Friday afternoon at the Blaine Public Library.

The tape of Dahl's record setting session has been submitted for review by Guinness World Records. This is the second time the Washington teen has tried to break the record. In February he successfully inflated 184 balloons in the same amount of time and submitted the tape to the Guinness people. They disqualified his entry because after the teen inflated the balloons, his Dad tied off the balloons. Apparently, this is against the strict rules of competitive nasal balloon inflation. This time, Dahl made sure to tie off the balloons himself. We hope to report soon on the ticker-tape parade that should be thrown to celebrate such an impressive feat.

WTF. Blowing up 213 balloons in an hour is hard work with just about any orifice, much less with the nose!

I should know.

I once joined with 1500 other people in Hillsboro, OR to break the world record for the most people wearing balloon hats at the same time.
For real.

Rock out! World record for everything? That must be what now, rule 35?

I acutally know Andrew through my youth pastor and when he came to visit Woodland, where I live, he showed us this talent and got me into it too.

His family is really supportive and it is awesome! He was here, in California a few weeks ago before all of this.

How cool though?!

I wonder if he has allergies that affect his balloon-blowing skillz...
