The end is near for Sunset Bowl and its patrons. The local bowling alley, which has been open for over half a century, is set to close its doors April 13th. (Officially 1a.m. on Monday morning.) So take the time this weekend to say goodbye and get in a few last games at the old Sunset lanes. Don't be surprised to see a few more teary eyes than bleary drunk ones this weekend. It is a sad day indeed.

Tuesdays are Muppet Days

i'm not one to condone thievery.....but if you ever wanted a pair of bowling shoes, this might be the weekend to walk off with some. probably a ball, too. and i'm betting they won't give a shit. just sayin'
yeah, you're probably right. i bowled a few weeks ago for the first time in years, at Sunset. And I was a little surprised when I rented my shoes there was no deposit.
I shed no tears for another ugly old building coming down. Perhaps they will find a way to install a new bowling alley into the new building...which I'm sure will follow the lead of the new breed of overpriced hipster bowling alleys. Wow, five bucks a game, what a bargain!
