Bun B, Framework, and D Black @ Neumo's Tonight
This year's chance to get your Houston gangsta rap on with Bun B—the living half of utterly bomb '90s gangsta duo UGK—is tonight at Neumo's.
Why we want to go: radio darling Bun B's releasing II Trill on April 29, and we definitely want to hear the new material. He's got a track record of collaborating with mainstream rap's hottest new artists (2005's Trill featured such names as the late Pimp C, Jay-Z, and Scarface), and the new release is no different: Sean Kingston, Lupe Fiasco, and Lil Wayne are just a few of the artists gracing the record with their contributions. We're hoping for at least one gigantic nod to the UGK's "International Players' Anthem (ft. Outkast)," nominated for a Grammy in 2007. Here's "That's Gangsta (ft Sean Kingston)," one of Bun B's Il Trill singles, released in late February:
Not only is Bun B going to absolutely pack the house, but Framework and D. Black will be performing. They're just about the closest Seattle gets to gangsta. Framework's Hello World is awesome, and awesomely hard to find....copies are rumored to be floating around Chop Suey tonight, so keep your eyes peeled and pay up if the opportunity comes your way. (Listen to more samples here.) D. Black and some fog are guaranteed to roll in with full game face on (our interview here), and the funny, extremely popular Dyme Def will be hosting. Sportn' Life and Soul Gorilla will most definitely be in the building, so please bring your motherfucking L's to throw up on command.
More from Bun B (check out this man's style!) and video after the cut...

Our remaining question: is the man riding dirty?
