I've been wanting to try Roy's for a while now--I've heard it's superior--but they tend to close a little too early to be convenient. Jones has been a good place to go with our toddler, though, and she enjoys the BBQ. As do we.

Jones BBQ is fine. I personally find the ambiance lacking though. I prefer Roy's BBQ around the corner on Rainier Ave.

Try The New Orleans down in Pioneer Square. Doesn't taste like it's straight outta the bayou...but it's not terrible. I've heard the Kingfish Cafe is really good. Been on my list of places to try. They have a menu online at www.thekingfishcafe.com

nope, sorry. your best bet is to get online and order up some crawdads from louisiana, and then make yourself some etouffe. i've never found anywhere outside of nola that could cut it with that food. then again, i'm not a food writer. maybe some of our food people could help you out....?

As a former New Orleanian, can you recommend any Cajun in these parts? I spent a week volunteering in the Crescent City in January and my food world will never be the same.
