Family Dog Shot with Arrow in Wallingford

A Wallingford family had the most unpleasant surprise of their lives when they awoke Wednesday morning to find their beloved family dog shot by an arrow. Liam O'Hara's Mastiff, Conan, was seriously injured after one of the three-pronged razor arrows impaled him in the chest. Other arrows hit O'Hara's home and the dog door.
Seattle Police and Animal Control are now looking into the incident. Whoever took aim at Conan had to do so over a six-foot fence. While Conan survived the painful injury and extensive surgery Wednesday to remove the arrow, the vets who treated him say his survival is uncertain.
If you have any information about Conan's shooting or any sociopath who uses razor-tipped arrows to shoot at house pets, Seattle Animal Control would like to hear from you. If you are interested in helping Conan's parents with the $8,000 vet bill they've incurred on top of the horror of this happening, you can contact the Lynwood Animal Clinic (20115 44th Avenue W), where he is being cared for.
UPDATE: This Seattlest is very sad to report that Conan passed away from his injuries early Thursday. Our condolences go to his family.
