KEXP Goes Live in NYC

KEXPKEXP moved ahead yesterday with its plan to broadcast on a radio station in New York City. Hopefully you remember the gist of the story, but if not, a bit more than a month ago, the station announced a partnership with Radio New York called Radio Liberation. The plan at the time was to export six hours of programming to a terrestrial radio station in NYC.

We don't listen to morning radio ourselves (too much stimulation before 10 am is bad for writers), so this may be old news for those who do tune into KEXP each day. According to a friend of ours who works at the station, KEXP broadcast the first episode of The Morning Show on 91.5 FM in New York City yesterday. Along with that, the KEXP-NYC Website our friend built also went live. Word from the site is that four shows a day for a total of 7 hours of programming are being produced here and sent via satellite to Radio New York, including, yes John in the Morning.
