Having quickly sold-out the Showbox this Friday night, Nada Surf has added a Thursday show. And lucky you, we'd say. After seeing their magnificent acoustic set at the Triple Door last month, we knew right away we'd be back for more.
Word on the street says this week's shows will be plugged in so it will be cool to hear them in full-on rock mode. If, however, you missed the acoustic show and cried yourself to sleep on your huge pillah, MySpace is currently featuring the band for their second installment of MySpace Transmissions.
Nada Surf recorded an [acoustic!] EP exclusively for the MySpace community along with a video Q&A session and live performances, all available for sharing and embedding in personal profiles.Doors 8pm // Showbox at the Market // $16 adv, $18 dos // Sea Wolf opens

I'm going to both shows and to say I'm excited would the understatement of the year.
That myspace transmissions thing was a lovely discovery this past weekend!
I am so pumped. Their last album has the ability to cheer me up, no matter how bleakly I feel.
But 18 bones?!! Eeep! But that's cool, if their acoustic set was that hot, then their plugged version should be similar in quality.
If anyone is sad that this concert sold out quickly, good news: as of yesterday there were still tickets available at the box office, and as of a minute ago, they were still available on ticketmaster.com too.
