SOCIAL HOUR: Girl Power Hour, we remark without comment, lasts two hours. It's is a "social networking experience for young professional women in Seattle... for meeting other cool women, sharing ideas, inspiring each other and connecting on a personal or business level, over cocktails." Meet up at the W Hotel for spring fashion tips from Closetfly, fitness advice from Sassy Fit, and declutter advice from A Logical Mess. There's also a clothing drive for Dress for Success.

PURIM PARTY: Jconnect is hosting a Purim party at CHAC, with a Garden of Eden theme and a Best Costume award. ("Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. It commemorates a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination.") There's a reading from the Megillah at 7:30pm and then the party begins: live music from Sasson and some great DJs with decor from www.koshercreative.com. "There will be snacks (that means LOTS of hamentashen) and a cash bar."

MUSIC: k.d. lang brings her torch and twang to the Moore tonight. We were just remembering where we were when Shadowland and Ingénue hit, and mainstream radio listeners fell for lang's transgressive blend of cabaret and country. This tour is for her new album Watershed. Rolling Stone--and who would know better than they--says, "With Watershed, k.d. lang does what the gifted and the lucky always should: improve as time passes."
