Security Guard Stabbed Outside Federal Building

A security guard was stabbed outside Seattle's Social Security office this morning. The incident occurred after a man in his 40s became upset that the social security office wasn't yet open. A fight ensued and the man stabbed a security guard in the head. The security guard was conscious and alert on his way to the hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

The incident occurred this morning around 9am outside of the S. Lane St. office of Social Security. Because the assault happened at the Social Security Office, it will be investigated by federal authorities. The suspected assailant was arrested and taken into custody.

Agitated a government office wasn't open on time? Isn't that basically a given? We'd hate to have seen what this guy's reaction would've been at a Washington State DMV.

  • Really?! Stabbed the guy in the head because the SSN office wasn't open on time?

I didn't even know we had an SSN office. I would hope by the time I get 40, I still know my SSN so I don't have to stab anybody.
