Northwest Teams Assigned Partners for Big Dance

March Madness
The brackets are set for the men's NCAA Tournament--expect productivity at work to continue on a downward spiral as the week goes on. Carve out a couple hours in your schedule in the next three days to research and fill out your brackets for your office pool. Rick Neuheisel knows what we’re talking about. Or, you could select your winners based on mascots, school colors, or blind guessing. Those always seem to work for some lucky S.O.B. in the office pool.

We’ll have previews of the Wazzu and Gonzaga games later this week, but here’s the schedule for the five Northwest teams (yes, we threw in Boise State after their triple-OT win in the conference championship) who made the tournament:

#4 Washington State vs. #13 Winthrop, Thursday, 4:20 p.m. in Denver, Colorado

#7 Gonzaga vs. #10 Davidson, Friday, 9:25 p.m. in Raleigh, North Carolina

#16 Portland State vs. #1 Kansas, Thursday, 11:45 a.m. in Omaha, Nebraska

#9 Oregon vs. #8 Mississippi State, Friday, 4:25 p.m. in Little Rock, Arkansas

#14 Boise State vs. #3 Louisville, Friday, 6:40 p.m. in Birmingham, Alabama

Plan your “sick” days accordingly, locate a TV in the office, or make sure your computer is upgraded to watch on-demand on CBS.

I checked around at the office, and NOBODY CARES. I guess we'll all knock off a few hours early instead of caring about some worthless thug-laden sport where the "athletes" suffer a very low graduation rate in respect to their "academic" colleagues.

Hey, Drew, I'll bet you $500 that the team you pick to win doesn't even make it to the game before the final game. Your mouth > than your money. We can bet $10, but I don't accept WIC coupons.

RSVP.

Wow, Todd Turner is pissed.

This Thursday through Sunday are the four best days of the year. Let's go Whitman!!!

I care and damnit, I'm not biting on the Gonzaga mystique this year. Same goes for WSU, I see the NW teams bouncing early with the possible exception of Oregon.

MBQ- Betting who isn't going to win is pretty gutless, take a harder stand.

fyi, gonzaga's game is at 9:25 am. not pm.
