Fall Flashback
Our bike route to work from Magnolia to Capitol Hill takes us down a short hill on 20th Ave W to the Pier 91 bike trail. That little street runs right along a ton of train tracks leading into the train yards. (It's on the back side of the Interbay Golf Center.) Generally it's filled with locomotives connected to empty cars or lines of containers waiting to be shipped one place or another. Noting terribly exciting, though if you're lucky, a train whistle will blow as you go by and scare the beejesus out of you.
Well this morning, we saw something totally cool. Check it out after the jump.
That's a Boeing 737 body without the wings, nose or tail just sitting there waiting to be moved. It's unpainted, has no doors (though there are windows strangely) and was a total shock. Another rider passed while we were taking some pictures and looked as surprised as we were.

Maybe this is the standard way they move wingless planes around the country, or you and I saw the same wandering planes....... on our recent cross-country drive we saw a train pulling a number of these planes pass through Missoula, Montana.
