H&M Stores to Arrive in Seattle En Masse

Finally, H&M, the Ikea of clothing stores, will make its glorious debut in Seattle.
Our inside sources (H&M's myspace page) tell us that not one, not two, but three H&M stores are scheduled to open in Seattle this fall. Fans of affordable fashion will soon flock to new locations at 5250 520 Pike Street, University Village and Westfield Southcenter. We know, the lack of Eastside locations is shocking, but who knows? Perhaps they'll arrive in a second wave in 2009.
We'd like to thank H&M for bringing us a sense of calm. With fears of an economic downturn now creeping into the Northwest, it's reassuring to know that we'll be able to get trendy outfits for less than the cost of a tank top at Nordstrom. And our near-paralyzing environmental concerns are eased by the fact that H&M is stepping up its already extensive use of organic fabrics.

Will affordable fashion bring casual Seattle into the fashion present? Only time will tell.

Any speculation as to what that obvious number mistyping on the Pike Street address actually means? Just trying to get a sense of whether they mean "downtown" or "on the Hill"...

I'm way to cool for this school (never heard of the H&M), but I fear my lady-friend will go crazy and I will catch her fever.
I fear not going broke (that stuff is cheap-- I looked at their site), but running out of space within my closet!
