Since his car was stolen, Eric Schoenlerber had been taking the bus to get around. This morning while riding the bus to work, he spotted a very familiar car in a 7-11 parking lot--his car. Schoenlerber got off the bus and called police, who responded to the location on lower Queen Anne.
Despite three police cars boxing in the stolen vehicle, the suspects broke through the barricade and headed against traffic down Fourth Avenue. The now-damaged police cars followed, chasing the suspects through lower Queen Anne. The chase ended at the gates of Kinnear Park, into which the suspects crashed. The driver of the stolen vehicle was injured in the crash and his passenger was arrested.
Three police cars were damaged in the chase and the stolen vehicle was virtually totaled. While Schoenlerber said, "it was one hell of a chase," it would've probably been a lot more exciting if it wasn't his car that was totaled at the end.

Friendly Folk-Pop for the Kids: Hey Marseilles at Vera This Saturday

Awesome cockpit shot. That is a great technique because they part traffic for you and also have no interest in chasing you -- uh, in theory, I mean.
And I recognize those gauges, Bimmers just lay low and cruise nicely at those numbers. However the real yikes is taking that photo at that follow distance -- 100 feet (7 car lengths) at 130 mph is nearly suicidal.
And sorry to hear about your car, Eric.
