Go Play Hooky, For Godssakes

A nice, sunny day in Seattle

My God, it's beautiful outside. When did that happen? Here we are sneezing and coughing and oozing from every orifice on our face when we look outside and Holy Obamalove, Batman! It's really nice out!

We recommend leaving your office job early and skipping through Cal Anderson Park (or whatever facsimile exists in your neighborhood). Pick up an iced latte. Go have a margarita. Take your dog and your little sister. Put your hair in pigtails and lie out in the sun.

We would, but we're oozing phlegm from the face. Instead, we'll sit here watching CNN, with one eye out the window at our lovely view (pictured here).

Hooray for late winter/early spring! There are actually sparrows (or something) chirping in our budding trees. As you can see, our paperwhites have bloomed. Our tulips and lavendar are getting there.

Dear Seattle, we're sorry for all the mid-winter dreams about moving to Southern California. You really are the most beautiful city in all the land (when the sun shines).

Taking your advice in 3...2...1...

and Cal Anderson park is only 2 blocks away with coffee shops in between!

I plan to take your advice on that margarita in T minus 2 hours......

5pm is a ridiculously early time to finish work... I am feeling like I'm playing hooky, even though I've been here for nine hours. Mind! Stop playing tricks! You deserve to go home!
