The saying goes, lightning never strikes twice. But what about house fires? A home on Queen Anne caught fire twice this holiday weekend, once on Sunday night and once today.
Firefighters were called to the single-family home on Sunday, after some chemicals improperly stored under the back porch, accidentally caught fire. Today firefighters must have felt a sense of deja vu when responding to the same home for a fire in the attic. Today's fire caused extensive damage to the structure, burning off a portion of the house's roof. The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical wiring, which was frayed during the original fire on Sunday. The occupants of the home escaped both fires without injury, but they still must feel like some of the unluckiest folks in Seattle today.
