Get Out Tonight: "Awesome" @ Tractor Tavern

If you've been monitoring the lives of "Awesome" lately as we have, you know these things:

1. They've been spending time in the studio with Jon Auer, recording a song called "I'm on T.V." for Puppet Entertainment Television (Strangercrombie auction winners).

2. Evan's nose has a furry new friend.

3. Evan (and his nose) and melodica player (amongst other things) John Ackermann had birthdays recently!

Which brings us to tonight's show. It's a birthday party! Not for Evan and John, officially, and not for the band's four-year anniversary, but for tonight's star: Miss Mamie Lavona the Exotic Mulatta & Her White Boy Band!

We've seen "Awesome" exactly four hundred sixty-eight times and every show has been a blast. If you've never seen this seven-man band we urge you to remedy this immediately. Regular application of "Awesome" is good for the ears and the funny-bone.

We've seen Miss Mamie Lavona exactly once ("Awesome" played that night as well) and we have to say, that woman owned the room. Here's what we said about her last year:

"Miss Mamie was stunning as always with her dazzling voice and her oh-so-wonderful curves. She pulled at our heart-strings with her sultry serenade and made us blush with her playful demeanor. She shook her maracas and then she shook her maracas."
