I always used to go to Top Pot on Summit (and now the Wedgewood branch when I go home). So, I was pleasantly surprised to see them at the Van Nuys Starbucks. I picked up a Top Pot apple fritter to give it a try and it wasn't bad. Definitely, not like picking up a fresh one back home but I'll take it! Not sure if they get shipped fresh every day or week or what. Though they looked fresh an exported Top Pot feels like heresy (I didn't try one). They certainly can't export the warm fresh doughnut smell of walking into a Top Pot location. Does this, with yesterday's news, mean essentially they're swapping out breakfast sandwiches for Top Pot doughnuts? But together that was the double bonus points! Can't wait for the Queen Anne location!! Someplace good to get a breakfast appetizer while waiting for a table at brunch on a cold damp Seattle morning.</p>
