<description>&lt;p&gt;The wikipedia article on BPA is pretty good (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisphenol_A). I work with a number of doctors and clinical researchers, none of whom could find solid evidence on whether or not BPA was actually harmful. 

Many of the studies and their results are tainted by who sponsored the study (either the plastics industry or whacked-out environmentalists). 

Ultimately the MD&apos;s I spoke with said to do what makes you comfortable. We ended up recycling my daughter&apos;s bottles and replacing them with glass. We wash our nalgene bottles with warm water only, soft detergent if it really needs it.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
