Shannon Harps Murder Suspect Found

Seattle Police have another guy in custody in regards to the killing of Shannon Harps, and this time it seems like it's actually the guy who did it. The Seattle Times says that his DNA matches that found at the scene. Perhaps the scariest detail is that it seems like the two were complete strangers. "They had no previous contact to our knowledge," said Deputy Chief Clark Kimerer.

He was found already in jail on another charge. His name is not being reported, but apparently he was jailed for missing a mandated mental-health exam.

  • I agree with J, and it was probably good to change the headline. But to play devil's advocate, OJ's had a trial. Am I allowed to call him murderer anyway?

  • Dan

    Alright, alright. I changed it.

I gotta agree with J here, they may say they have DNA on this guy, but in this country, he's innocent until proven guilty, and there hasn't been a trial yet. This is after all, the *second* guy they've picked up.

I feel like the j school ethics 101 prof tonight -- killer found? dude got arrested. big difference. i hope he's the guy and i hope he burns in whatever place awaits somebody who did this kind of thing. But until the jury reaches a decision, your headline is wrong.
