Scrabulous Taken Down Just When We Were Winning?

scrabble02.jpgIn news certain to impact hyper-literate Seattle hardest, Scrabulous seems to have been taken down by Facebook. We're hitting the Try Again button like meth-addled lab mice, but no dice so far.

Dammit, we just had a bingo!

We'd heard about Hasbro's cease-and-desist, but we hadn't realized January 22nd was the deadline.

The official Scrabulous site seems ignorant of the whole kerfluffle, while the AP still wants you to sign a petition to save Scrabulous.

Do we really hafta go see what this Scrabble Blast horseshit is all about. Does anyone know of a good substitute?

Jesus, we've got the shakes already.

[UPDATE: A commenter says it's up again, and we checked and it is. Man, this not knowing how much time we have left is killing us. You can see how jittery we are.]

it's not down as of right now. facebook apps do sometimes just not work. i assume if Scrabulous was actually taken down, it would disappear from your apps list.

It was just that it was down for half an hour. I've had it sputter on me for 5 minutes or so, but not so long before. That, along with it being past the deadline, got me paranoid.

*whew*

i checked during that same period and had the same freakout. i hope hasbro makes the right move here. save scrabulous!

even though i am losing, it would blow if they took it down. someday, i might win.

Just switch to wordbiz already.... (isc.ro). All the greats are there including "GI" Joel and many many other scrabble celebs!
